Simpkins and Co Solicitors Attend Clinical Negligence Conference

All solicitors from Simpkins and Co attended the 12th Annual Clinical Negligence and Legal Update Seminar hosted by 9 Gough Square Chambers in London on Thursday 13th October.

The conference, which took place at the Law Society, included topics such as negligence and delay in diagnosis of breast cancer and Cerebral Palsy caused by Hypoxia as well as legal updates in clinical and medical negligence case law. Welcome to Samantha Lucas new Legal Secretary

Simpkins and Co Solicitors welcomed a new member of staff this month - introducing Samantha Lucas as a new full time legal secretary.

Cassandra Simpkins states, 'Samantha joins us to add to the already efficient team of Janet McWalter and Patricia Fleat. Samantha will aid in reception duties and is fully experienced in all areas of the legal secretarial role. She is an asset to the team and we welcome her skills and wealth of experience. Simpkins & Co Solicitors joined the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry in September 2011. The Chamber represents businesses of all sizes and sectors from across the County of Dorset and beyond delivering the very best services, business information and advice. Dorset Chamber delivers around 90 events and training courses every year and strives to give all its members the opportunity to learn, meet new contacts and promote their business through networking or sponsorship opportunities.

The Chamber also organises the annual Dorset Business Awards and Members of the Chamber can enter the annual British Chambers of Commerce Chamber Awards free of charge.

Supporting the Spinal Injuries Association fundraising - charity football match

Steven Simpkins and Kevin Blake of Simpkins and Co Solicitors both took part in a charity football match to raise funds for the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) on 24 May. The SIA are the national organisation of spinal cord injured people – each day in the UK three people are paralysed through spinal cord injury. The SIA helps them rebuild full, active, independent and happy lives.

The venue for the football match was the prestigious home of Arsenal Football Club, The Emirates Stadium, who generously supported the event. Teams were made up of representatives from a number of firms, clients and supporters of the association. Steven Simpkins played and managed his team to a successful win on the night but the real winners were the Spinal Injuries Association and the people they help and support.

Firm becomes a Member of the Christchurch Chamber of Commerce and Trade.

Simpkins and Co Solicitors are now members of the Christchurch Chamber of Trade and Commerce. 'We look forward to taking an active part in the Chamber and continuing to contribute and support the local community'. says Cassandra Simpkins.

New Marketing Campaign in Society Magazine

Simpkins and Co Solicitors hopes to raise their profile with a new marketing campaign in Hampshire Society magazine and Dorset Society magazine. 'By letting everyone know what areas of the law we specialise in we hope to raise awareness of the expertise available to people in the Hampshire and Dorset counties. The magazine readership covers Southampton and Bournemouth as well as the New Forest, Winchester, Poole and surrounding areas. The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers has recognised Steven Simpkins long membership to the association and awarded him a certificate for his 10 years membership.

New offices and new lawyers to expand our successful practice – April 2010

Simpkins and Co Solicitors moved offices in April 2010. The new office is situated in the same building but we have a new suite number, 4, Brearley House, 278 Lymington Road, Highcliffe. This suite is larger and offers clients and staff individual work and meeting space.

'In the current economic climate we are pleased and proud to have moved offices, especially to a larger space. The new office offers a new modern and tailored workplace which we believe will make the experience of coming to see us a lot more pleasant and relaxing.
